Problem Description:

Power problems at Marine House led to the failure of some Eircom
equipment that connects us to the Symphony ATM network.


The ATM circuits UCD, TCD, TRBDI conenctivity lost. ITnet re-routed
over 2 m serial line. Non-Eircom ATM circuits (TEN-155, New York)
and DASSnet circuits are unaffected.


Contacted Eircom.

Eircom have found an SDH problem and they are working on it at that level.

16:10 Eircom engineer on site investigating NTU and configuration.

19:30 NTU couldn't be brought up; Eircom still trying to source a
      working replacement. Keeping the office open should they find
      one this evening.

23:00 Working replacement NTU with two cards sourced, software uploaded and re-installed at HEAnet.
23:59 UCD.TCD<TRBDI,ITnet reachable. Traffic flowing.
