PREAMBLE
=========

Information Technology (IT) is today widely recognized to
underpin socio-economic development of communities. Africa is
arguably the continent where the adoption and impact of emerging
information technologies has been least. In Kenya, some major
strides have been made in introducing and applying IT. However,
great potentials remain untapped, partly because a cross-section
of decision makers and practitioners have not been adequately
sensitized.

The African Regional Centre for Computing (ARCC) in collaboration
with the Computer Society of Kenya (CSK) and other industry
leaders will host the first ever Kenya's National Information
Technology (IT) Conference in Nairobi between 29th November - 2nd
