Andy Cleveland brings up the subject of etiquette in sessions. I can
offer only one maxim for the Miss Manners book-to-be. Neither do I
know where I learned this nor does it apply strictly to Irish music,
however it goes that if you accept another player's stringed instrument,
always play through at least one full song before re-tuning -- even if
the thing's so out of whack it makes you grit your teeth. How it hurts
to be nice. The button box players amongst us get to skip this chapter.
