Really hard to tell. For somebody interested in etymology, such as Cormac úa Cuillenáin, it was still clear around 900. For normal people the meaning would probably have become opaque as soon as bm in *Corb-mac had assimilated to m, although its not clear when this happened. 6th century perhaps, as a rough guess...
