Hi Barry,

I hope it is just hysteria -- but I suspect something deeper at work.

Assange has a publishing function/role as potentially powerful as Rupert
Murdoch et al -- but he (Assange) is not in, or under, the control of those
social/cultural forces that keep the likes of Rupert under 'control' and
the public out of control.

Being outside the USA media system I find these type of video images/voices
rather puzzling. We all have our domestic media/propaganda systems at work
-- but do people in the USA actually see the core issues at play?

I mean, it almost seems like a civil war is emerging between
'suppression-ists' and 'open-ists' (to coin two meaningless words). I guess
the interesting issue is whether the trends are towards one way or the
other in the emerging generations.

This one was also a surprise to me: " the "Electronic Robin Hood". He's a
28-year-old man. He's currently in federal prison here in New York. His
name is Jeremy Hammond. "
