Dear all, sorry for cross-postings,

I would like to draw your attention to a congress, that might interest (some) of you. Although mainly about terrestrial plants, there will be a theme session on seaweeds and marine plants.

Recently the interest on Macaronesia plant diversity has increased and several key publications have been issued.
FLORAMAC 2012 aims to bring together investigators working on all aspects of the Macaronesian flora, from marine algae to vascular plants. Keynote speakers for each of the different sessions will give state of the art insights in several different fields and approaches from history to biogeography, phylogeny, evolution, taxonomy and ecology.
