Yes, I found I could follow him for most of the what he had to say.

But his attitude about the geologist holding on to his Book was a little off-putting. I think I have now found another reason to believe -- and that is to irritate people like Dawkins!

He is entitled to his opinions -- but they are not as mature as his scientific persona. He and his type seem challenged by mystery. Another form of absolutism and fundamentalist zeal.

The greatest 'side show'  on earth perhaps?

Good find, Russell - and I'd recommend it to everyone, whether pro- or anti- religious thinkers.

I had reacted against Dawkins in recent years, but take back some of my reservations.

He should at least have the humility to say it cannot be answered by/from his scientific perspective.
