Hi Stefan, Nick,

Time is a measure of motion which produces distance in space (re Duffield - space is simply distance). Distance is measured relative to the speed of light (the metre is the length of the path travelled by light in vacuum during a time interval of 1/299792458 of a second) which is why c, the measured speed of light never changes. We measure the speed of light only in terms of the speed of light. If the universe was half as small, time would be twice as fast to an external observer, but time would feel no different to us if we were in the half or full universe.

Nick, Googling Hubius Helix seems to get circular results with the Hu article. The following image came back from a Google Image search on 'Hubius Helix'. It happens to be the same 'toroidal photon electron' Figures 41 and 51 in Duffield attributed to Williamson and van der Mark.
Best,
Joe

That's it Stef (well motion that produces
interaction that produces time) and thanks Joe- Duffield will be delighted.
This morning I had an email from him telling me about the "Hubius Helix"
model in this paper from Hu at Gothenburg. He seems to have produced the
same idea in 2004 as Williamson in 1997 (Pask's dependence/analogy
generalization was written down 1992). I need a close read of
this.

Anyone heard of Hubius
helix before?

Time is motion Joe!
