I'm halfway through Duffield's book which you referred some months ago and I just received. To use Stafford and my favorite 'highest accolade" - a technical term - "F-CKING AMAZING!"
Indeed we are all twist and turn and light!
Thanks for this.
From your cybsoc link:
John Duffield presents physics with all it's deficiencies to the critical lay reader. He gives a brisk, popular but detailed account and brings the Williamson Model of the
electron, as a self-closed photon, to a wider readership. In the process, for example, he covers the weaknesses of the Standard Model, Gravity, Black Holes and the neglected importance of the governing permeability and permittivity of free space. Here is a physics for cyberneticians enabled by Gordon Pask's 1992 mysterious assertion that a doubly twisted torus topology is required for analogy and dependence. In this book it is applied to the electron. There are 12 pages of commented references, many on the web. "Relativity+: The Theory of Everything" by John Duffield ISBN 9780956097804 Corella 2009 222 pages £9.99.

This question "Is CO2 the real villain?" is raised
by Levitt and Dubner in SuperFreakonomics and challenged here
Clouds and water vapour are far
more influential in determining global surface temperature than C02
and we don't understand clouds, is their point.
Indeed carry on pumping benign primary
plant food C02, it makes developing world agriculture more productive and
as Freeman Dyson has it opens up Canada and Siberia. One might go so far as to
say put sulphur back in jet fuel to support Myrhvold's notion of pumping SO2
back into the air if things do indeed get too hot. Levitt and Dubner allow we
would have to monitor methane in case of a sudden release from permafrost and
Ah the joys of analyzing homeostats...
