Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland Applicantions are invited for the following permanent post: Assistant Librarian, RCSI Library at Beaumont Hospital Ref: HR60050 Applications for the above position are invited from university graduates with a post graduate qualification in Library & Information Science. The successful candidate will be based in the RCSI Library at Beaumont Hospital. A proactive approach to creating and maintaining accessible usable and reliable information resources in healthcare is essential. Previous relevant experience in an academic/medical library and familiarity with the knowledge base of medicine and healthcare would be an advantage. An innovative approach to the exploitation of information resources to support patient care, the continuing professional development of healthcare professionals, and research taking place in Beaumont Hospital is required. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, reliable, energetic, possess good communication and information technology skills and have strong commitment to customer care. Applicants should have the leadership skills and managerial ability necessary to develop, organise and coordinate RCSI Library services at Beaumont Hospital.
