The award-winning site of Edukafaso <http://www.edukafaso.org>, a Burkinabe NGO
focusing on education and development, is considering modifying its Jula page
to include both text and audio. One question is if there is software available
to permit the use of a "bouncing ball" effect, highlighting words in the text
as they are played in the audio file.

This need not be on the complex level of TTS -- perhaps something that could be
sychronized? Similar sorts of effects are apparently used in some language
instruction programs - how is this done & could it be adapted to a webpage?
