Thanks for all of the input. You are right I am tuning in "just"
tuning or "natural" as you said. I will take all of your advice and
recheck with my ear and the drones.
I am probably getting a little over zealous being that I was able to
tame a sharp second octave A and B with the staple taper.
You are correct about the tuners. I have a Boss $100.00 model TU-12H
and I notice it getting erratic on the high notes, especially if the
battery is getting a bit used up. I just got back from Radio Shack
where I bought a 9v. power pack. This will, I hope make it a bit more
trust worthy, but also I will trust my ear as you all hsve suggested.
