The précis, for those with little Modern Irish:

The Miach-and-the-healing-herbs story is an attenuated version of a
very old and widespread origin myth, the creation of the elements of
the world from the body parts of a dismembered giant, a sort of cosmic
man. This may have been the (or at any rate one) Celtic creation
myth, shoved aside by the adoption of the biblical creation tale and
demoted to the drama of a family of physician-gods.
