[From last Sunday's "Times":]
"CUE an image change. Scottish Television is ditching its thistle logo
as old-fashioned and inappropriate for the 21st century. The icon familiar
to viewers for the past 10 years is to be
deleted early in the new year. The move is in tune with designers and
advertisers who feel the national emblem has become tired, overused and is
meaningless in the new global marketplace."
Could somebody tell me what *is* meaningful in the global marketplace,
other than money?
