UGLY VIRUS RETURNS!!!

To prevent this virus from affecting your pc's/networks adversely, please be
sure to follow these instructions. The virus e-mails itself out as an
attachment with the filename "zipped_files.exe". The body of the e-mail
message may appear to come from a known e-mail correspondent and contains
the following text:
I received your email and I shall send you a reply ASAP.
Till then, take a look at the attached zipped docs.

What action should I take?

Do not open the attachment named zipped_files.exe. You should simply
delete the message to prevent infection.
You should ensure that you have Norton Antivirus 5.0 (NAV) installed.

How will I be impacted?

If you open the attachment, it displays an error message stating "Can not
open file. This does not appear to be a valid archive...". It will search
through all drives on your PC, including network drives mapped, and selects
files to destroy. This can result in non-recoverable data and/or computer
system.
If you have file sharing setup and the person sharing your drive receives
and opens the attachment it can result in corruption of data on both
systems. We advise that you turn off file sharing until the threat of the
virus is once again eradicated.

good luck,

Dave Jones
