Subject: 'Macha' ?
I've been studying the Gaeilge myself for a number of years now.
When i discovered that SeanGaeilge learning resources existed, I started
trying to learn it as well. I've been a lurker on this list for a while, as
I felt I hadn't been studying long enough to join in. Now I've a question,
given to me by a friend, that I have no way to go about answering.
Does anyone know the etymology of 'Macha' the goddess? what her name means
and/or where she came from?
I figured that this would be the place to ask.
