There are some highly interesting works from J. Hubschmied & J.Hubschmid
(unfortunately I do not have the bib. description at the moment), dealing
with traces of Celtic influence among Romanic languages of the alps.
They quote some Friulian words, too, so there is evidence for the presence of Celts
there in pre-Roman times
