Bonjour Edward,

Cordialement,
Pierre OUEDRAOGO

Hi Edward,

I wasn't at Geneva meeting. Since then, I've been along with all these
people who worked to get all the parties together, and this made the
success of the Cotonou meeting.

Thank you for detailing us how you got the information! I understand
that some francophones may have had that idea of not attending the
meeting for such or such reason: it's up to them to decide what they
want to do.

Like some anglophones may have decided not to come to the meeting for
any reason. But this wasn't a decision of the francophone meeting. Most
of the francophones that were at the francophone meeting, attended the
african ISOC chapter meeting.

Conclusion: since the Geneva meeting in 1998, there have been no problem
between anglophones and francophones, and everything was fine at San
José. I believe that the "Geneva syndrom" belongs to the past.

Kindly,
Pierre OUEDRAOGO
