The only URI I have for ISOLat1 &c. is:

ftp://imbolc.ucc.ie/pub/sgml/ISOlat1

Could someone possibly bear to give me an example of how to declare, say,
just é in a document? Also, then, if I'm declaring encoding to be
UTF-8, is there also another way to assure that what is typed as, say,
e-acute, indeed is produced that way?
