As a part of my master thesis I am about to build an
XML-editor-application specialised for a specific XML language.
I am building the application using Java and I need an XML Parser
implemented in Java.

I would be grateful for avise on wich parser to choose.
I need a parser that supports in-run-time modifiacations of the
DOM-tree.

I was planing to use a version of IBMs xml4j or suns parser from Java
Project X
A lot of people seems to think that xml4j is the best one available but
I have also heard that it is very
porly documented. Any suggestions?
