Avocet still present on the 1st as well as a Little Egeret.

Is nobody at Fingal on the IBN or are they just greedy. I saw in the log
book in the hide today that an avocet was seen from the hide on 19th,
20th, 26th and 27th. This afternoon it was in the outer estuary just
below the railway bridge. It performed beautifully - sleeping, preening,
walking, feeding and flying in a large circle back to the starting
point. A beautiful sight on a cold, bright and sunny winter's afternoon.
