I turned on RTE radio a couple of evenings ago and caught some
of an interview with Olive Braiden, who among other aspects of
an interesting career is director of the Dublin Rape Crisis Centre.
I thought I heard her say she is a niece (or grand-niece?) of
Michael Coleman - could that be right? Her maiden name is Egan,
and her family is from Ballymote, County Sligo. Coleman's "Old
Grey Goose" was played at this point of the interview.
>Does the Coleman recorded version seem a bit "herky jerky"
>and/or rushed to you?
Yes it does, more like a fast march than a jig.
