He's reckoned to have been relative of the Earl of Kelly (from Kelly Castle,
in Fife) who emigrated to Ireland with a stack of straightforward jigs and
reels, but left behind all the difficult tunes like strathspeys, and
anything in a flat key or with more than two sharps. He did drop off a few
in Donegal on the way.
