I dont know but the old 78 recording of it by the Aughrim Slopes Ceili Band
(havent a clue if it was the 30's or 50's) doesnt sound much better than
Coleman's- I think it was just too long and complicated a tune for recording
in those days -
I have heard Joe Mills play it himself and it would make your hand stand on
your head. So assume the addition of Paddy Kelly - Jack Mulchaire, Paddy Fahy
and whoever else recorded it with them should make it sound even better...
The record companies had a way of speeding up the masters that threw them all
out of sync with what was actually played..
