Just a few recordings not yet mentioned to add.
Versions of "The Dublin Porter" can be also heard on:
Any Old Time, Crossing, DARA CD 072
Brid Cranitch, Vince Milne, Pat Sullivan, A Small Island, OSS CD 70
Musical Travel, Ireland, Silex YA225704 (Eilis Egan and Maureen Fahy)
Music for the Dublin Millenium, RGLP8 (Roma Casey, Edel McWeeney, Joe McKenna)
The Outlet recording Paul has mentioned is not by Mick Crehan but by
John(jnr) and James Kelly. In their notes they state that this tune
was a favourite of Padraig O'Keeffe and that their father John Kelly snr.
suggested it could be also played at slower pace and in dotted rhythm
as a hornpipe.
It seems, there is a strong Kerry and Clare connection making this tune
