Hi there thomas, deidre, ronald and the rest of you!
there is no need to be so very very polite;
you donŽt have to use my surname,
just "bernhart" will do nicely.
Mr Tischler sounds a bit like a doctor in II world war.
I got the tune
from my girlfriend, and she got it from andrew dinan (Manchester fiddle
player). andrew plays sessions with Mike McGoldrick, and thats the
reason why it is on the Lunasa album. i am not sure which is the proper
(healthy, good ....) version, but andrew does the waterbed on an album
with his group ... (iŽll be buggered if i remember that name...!) so iŽd
think his and therefore my version is the one.
as for the first bar i am not sure about this ebbe .. cause i play a
roll on the b and drop the next note.
clarinet for irish music,
a guy in vienna used to play the clarinet for irish music, which sounded
but he always started playing klezmatic in the second half of the set,
which gave it a good groove; but, I have to admit... it didnŽt sound
very traditional, when he started improvising.
played with him,
when he visits manchester youŽll find him saturdeay night in the "jolly
angler" ducie str.
(when you miss him... thereŽll be a good session anyway)
