Willie,

Try applying a curfew to your cats!

Ours are not let out before 09.00 and are kept in after 18.00,
earlier in winter. This does seem to reduce casualties considerably!

How can you not have affection for your cat! Maybe he is feeling
rejected and is bringing you gifts to win your approval! Seriously,
they are really fascinating creatures, and do repay affection.

As a serious conservationist of garden birds I still like
Sparrowhawks and even Magpies. The important thing is to try to keep
the playing field level.

Regards

Maurice
