Tá na ceisteanna a chuir tú romhainn inniu an-spéisiúil, a Mhaidhc.
This is the easiest of them to respond to. Pierre-Yves Lambert has
explained Boudicca as a hypocoristic diminutive based on "boudi-"
(victory), which is cognate with OI "buaid" (mod. "bua") and Welsh
"budd". In fact, the Welsh name for this queen of the Iceni is
Buddug (= victorious).
