Thanks for that, Eve. (Always refreshing to find out that one is not
totally nuts.)

The XLink WD (4.1.3) seems to indicate that an element declaring a
remote(/local?) resource will have some attributes that don't need to be
declared in an ATTLIST: role, title, show, actuate, and behavior. These are
declared via a sample PE, %remote-resource-semantics.att, used in a sample
simple-link declaration of a hypothetical <simple> element (4.3). The next
sample linking element, <mylink>, however, does not include that PE in its
ATTLIST, yet the element (in the sample use in the document) still has a
title attribute.

Are these attributes in fact implied ("built in") with XLinking elements?
