According to a web page analysis tool, your web page really isn't that
bad. I ran Dr. Html (see http://www2.imagiware.com/RxHTML/) and found:
"The total number of bytes transferred while loading the page is 58.6 K.
This will take approximately 33.3 seconds to load over a 14.4kbps modem."

Might I suggest employing interns? I know of a number of highly skilled
graduate students at the University of Michigan, School of Information who
would be able to help you with your web server and web pages at a
significantly lesser cost than a full-time IT professional.
