Simon St Laurent and Murata Makoto posted notes to clarify that
their XML books were not badly outdated by the publication of
XML 10. as a W3C Recommendation (as could have been implied by
my note that Megginson's book _Structuring XML Documents_ was

Anyone who dared to write a book during this chaotic period
deserves our appreciation: Simon, Makoto, and all the rest.
Hats off to the pioneers!
