This just in from Sierra Leone, regarding SierraTel's new Internet
service. You may wish to have a look at

For those more technically minded, the traceroute and WhoIs outputs
are as follows. Kivex is my local provider. It looks like SierraTel
is doing business with GlobalOne, a consortium with US Sprint, France
Telecom, and Deutsche Telecom. I'm guessing the actual satellite hop
is from somewhere on the USA East Coast to Freetown. Does somebody
know a tool for determining that? My skills in interpreting such
output are not very good I'm afraid.
