NEW SHAREWARE FONT AVAILABLE - TRINCULO
Trinculo is our second new shareware font for this month. It's an
interesting variation on traditional cursive calligraphy with excessively
decorative flourishes and embellishments. The example on our main page
gives you a good idea how out of control this font is. Rather like the mad
musings of a bored 18th century legal clerk. It's on our featured fonts
page in a shareware version and the full version with two different takes
on each character is available for order from our online ordering site. To
check it out just go to http://www.ragnarokpress.com/scriptorium
TWO MORE NEW FONTS
We've also just completed two more new fonts which are available
through our online ordering site at
Carissimi is an antique calligraphy font based on a Renaissance
variation on Roman calligraphy where each character is formed of double
strokes. It's excellent for titles. And we've also released a new version
of our Batten initials font based on designs by 19th century illustrator J.
D. Batten. This version has so many initials and they're so detailed that
it takes 3 font files to include them all. You can see samples of both
fonts in the online ordering area.
Also new in the online ordering area is the full version of
Zoomorphica which took a bit longer than expected to make available.
MASTER FONTS PAGE FINALLY ONLINE
We're almost done updating all of the sub-sections of the font part
of our site and are getting ready to move on to updating the image section.
The latest addition in font pages is the new Master Fonts page which has
extensive samples of our most high-quality fonts as well as a shareware
font to try out. Our Master Fonts are designed for professional publishing
use and include extra kerning, expanded character sets, bold and italic
custom fonts and foreign language characters. You can find the new Master
Fonts page at http://www.ragnarokpress.com/masterfonts
DIGITAL COLORING BOOKS UPDATE
When we announced our Digital Coloring Books earlier this month we
ran into some problems with getting the files on our online ordering site.
Some people had a lot of trouble finding them, and the second book
apparently never made it on the site at all. They're both there now, but
not quite in the right places. The first collection is in the Art &
Graphics area. The second is in the Single Fonts area (no one knows why),
but by the end of this week there will be a whole new area for the Digital
Coloring Books, just in time for us to release two more.

TYPE TEST NEWS
We got lots of great feedback on our type test, and we're currently
making revisions to three fonts which we think will be very well received.
About 40 of you took part in the final phase of the test where we analyzed
the fonts in depth and the info we got was very helpful. The new fonts
will be available for free through our main page later this week and we'd
like everyone to try them out. If you run a website you will be able to
add a link to our Web Fonts and give them out for free to your users as
Later this week we will be releasing a bonus font which we found
abandonned in our development archives. It's called Gloriana and is very
much in the same tradition of hand lettered folk-art fonts as our popular
Folkard font. We'll also be putting our Art Fonts page online, which will
complete the renovation of the fonts section of our site.
