The Illiam Dhone commemroation was held on a bit of a windy day set
between to very windy days. Around a hundred people came to hear
Stewart Bennett speak in Manx about the revival of Manx and Bill
Henderson speaking in English about the need to protect our hills
from damage.

It's the first time in my own memeory that I have seen an MHK at the
event. Hazel Hannan, Peel's MHK was there but I don't think it was to
remember Illiam Dhone our nation. She was angry after Bill attacked
her for allowing her department to "burn-off" a huge area of mooreland,
killing much wildlife.

I was greatly surprised when the President of Tynwald, Charlse
Kerruish, arrived. Infact, I have no words....

Mark Kermode,
Mannin.
