How do you think cultures evolve? They just don;t arise de novo. The
ancient Celts were notorious for adopting ideas from other cultures.
Coinage is a very good example. The Romans tended to adopt the best of the
cultures they conquered. Cultures do it today. I would call it sharing.
And, rather than being disrespectful, I would considering it honoring the
