Pretty scary legislation.
An obvious effort to revive the sagging longbow production industry and to
the developement of ashen and yew farms. Bristish armourers have already
factory assembley lines to switch to the production of long swords, kite
shields and mailed protective body wear. The next step is to eliminate the
high incicdents of motor vehilcle fatalities by outlawing the automobile thus
giving new life to the horse breeding and wagoneer indusries. Just think of
all the new jobs created then.
Of course there are those malcontents who see in these legislative efforts
hidden agenda of returning the Sceptered Isle to a feudal society but
it was quite easy to control bands of poorly armed peasants amd serfs just
Sheriff of Nottingham.
Notwithstanding the previous observations the British electorate has never
a bulwark for the defense of personal liberty and indeed much like the rest
European cousins share the sheepish quality of bowing to the imposition of
protective legislation by those in authority. It is apparent that the rabble
the ocean by 1776 accounted for the portion of the gene pool that still
dangerous y chromosome.
