The basic method of unsubscribing is to send a message to
[log in to unmask]
The subject line will be ignored.
The message body should be
One of two things will happen. Either your request will be processed and
you will be removed from the list or the listserver will not recognise you
as a subscriber and will send you a message which outlines what may have
happened and what to do about it.
A common problem is that your address has been changed so that your message
to the listserver doesn't come from the same address as that used to send
you the mail. You can find out the address used by the listserver by
sending the command 'review celtic-l' and finding your entry.
For example: recently I was subscribed to the list as [log in to unmask]
and messages sent to that address were reaching me without problems.
However my mail was going out with the return address [log in to unmask] (spot
the difference) so when I tried to unsubscribe the listserver told me I was
