Dear Stephane:
In response to your question (below), Intelsat has been planning to put
together a package with an Internet Service Provider (e.g., AT&T, Sprint,
etc.) to offer Internet connectivity via the VSAT infrastructure. Intelsat
is prohibitted from offering Internet access, although it may be able to
provide access through a subsidiary (if established).
You might want to check with Lester Sussman, System Architect at Intelsat
([log in to unmask]) and Smain Chergui, Telecommunications
Services Specialist for Africa and Middle East ([log in to unmask])
and Fatim Haidara, satellite design engineer ([log in to unmask]).
They are knowledgable about the long term planning, sales, and design
considerations, respectively.
Hope this helps.
Andrea
