A cha\irdean,
Tapadh leibh airson nan comhairle mu fhaclair. Cha cheannaich mi am
faclair MicIllFhinnein.
Tha fios agam gu bheil "tioram air tir" a' ciallachadh "dry on land",
ach air an aite na Gael-Net fhuair mi gu bheil "'s truagh nach do
dh'fhuirich mi tioram air tir" a' ciallachadh "What a pity I never
stayed on dry land"!

A Mhairc, tha mi a' fuireach ann an Genoa agus tha mi ag ionnsachadh a'
Ghaidhlig a\s an leabhar is teip "Teach yourself Gaelic".

Slan leibh.

Dear friends,
thank you for your advices about Dictionaries. I will not buy
MacLennan's dictionary (just in time. I was going to order it!).
I actually know thet "tioram air tir" means "dry on land", but on
Gael-Net site I found that "'s truagh nach do dh'fhuirich mi tioram air
tir" means "What a pity I never stayed on dry land"!

Dear Mark, I live in Genoa and I'm learning Gaelic from the "Teach
yourself Gaelic" book & tape.

Ciao, Massimo
