I've been reading this list for a couple of weeks,
this is my first post - normally E/ire is used
when you're speaking Irish and Ireland when you're
speaking English. Both are the name of the island.
The State (which I presume you mean by nation)
is now (I'm not sure of this) the Republic of Ireland.
The constitution was written in 1937 and the
Republic of Ireland Act (or something like that)
was passed in 1948 or 49.
