I don't pretend to know what CR uses as their criteria but from what I've
seen it is different - tending to regular visits to the dealer's garage
We run our equipment in the roughest country found and it sometimes
breaks down, not often. Also, we don't buy the stuff that civilians do.
Ours is usually stripped down to the bare essentials, less to break. I
will say though, that the Toyota Land Cruisers we had outlasted the Land
Rovers. I could also mention that our drivers have zero respect for the
stuff and tend to drive the wheels off of 'em because they don't have to
pay for the repairs. I have seen Toyotas with broken frames (in all
fairness, a couple of Chevy's too) and quite a few with broken shock
mounts. I would have hated to be a passenger in that.
