For a long time I've been subscribed to this list (lurker mode only) in
the hope that one day someone would announce: "The Comores are now online".
This has not happened.
I am due to leave for the islands at the end of January for about 18
months and my only reasonable email option is to dial-up an ISP or BBS in
Reunion at a cost of about $5 per minute one a fortnight or so. It would
be nice, therefore, to have an email node in the Comores.
(I expect you can see it coming...) Can I do this myself? That, in
brief, is the question. The how, where, wherefore, etc will undoubted
follow if this sounds like the sort of thing that a) is not already in
progress and b) feasible, in that someone would be able to support it
both financially and logistically.
