Announcing the publication of a new (Sept 1996) book about west coast algae!

This book is a guide to the abundant and diverse organisms living between

are given for each species, the book will be useful from the Aleutian Islands,
Alaska, to Oregon.

This book contains detailed descriptions of 83 species of macroalgae,
30 species of lichens, 1 moss and 2 seagrasses. A chapter on favorite
seaweed recipes is also included.

Each species description includes the common names, current and former
scientific names, geographic distribution and bathymetry, as well as com
comprehensive anatomical, physiological and ecological information.
Each species is illustrated with an exquisite black and white drawing.
A complete species list, bibliography and index are included, while a
glossary is integrated with the text.
