There are some in Russia, fonts concidered as an
intellectual property.
...There's a proverb: hardness of the russian laws
is much releaved by their complete unfulfilness.... :-!

Subject: Type copyright laws?

I am aware of the lack of type protection in the US,
but not so up to date on the facts outside this
country's borders. Could someone give me a run down
of other countries' laws protecting type?

Thanks,
CHris
