Hi all! I figured with the number of people using TeX on this list, I'd
come to you with the problem I'm encountering. (I called Blue Sky Research
but had to leave a message and they haven't called back yet.)
Here's the problem. A number of my authors use a package called X-fig
(UNIX-based). They can save their figures (which I would import into TeX)
in EPS which I in turn imported in Adobe Illustrator for manipulation. I
saved it as an EPS file, but then, when I put in all the commands in TeX,
the figure doesn't show up on the screen. I have the:
commands at the top of my document and the BoxedEPS.tex file in the
document folder. And, when I looked back at other documents where we had
EPS figures, we couldn't import them either---I had to paste in the
figures. Does anybody out there have a clue as to what's wrong? (Somebody
else actually got the BoxedEPS.tex file. Could it be corrupted? missing
some vital piece?) Am I saving the file wrong in Illustrator?
