Besides informing the members of this list (who all apparently have
large bandwidth - otherwise they wouldn't be on this list!) on IT,
I propose that persons, especially those with useful technical
knowledge, volunteer to prepare short digests on medical developments
and other subjects. These could be distributed to field workers who
will be coming on line but with limited and expensive bandwidth.
These volunteers could also perform searches at the request of
field workers. I'm sure it's already going on now, but it merits
to be expanded greatly - this is how the Net can make a real impact
in spite of all the limitations.
