Gosh, everyone's getting more detailed than I did last night, in the haze
of fatigue, that now I feel somewhat inadequate in my response. So, let's
try it again.
My name is Tom Knapp, I've been alive for 30 years but have remarkably
stayed 23 for the past several, and I live and work in America's first
inland city, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. I'm a newspaper reporter; after a
few years as a municipal reporter (mostly dull!) and a few years as the
education reporter (frequently dull!) I slipped with great luck into the
entertainment beat (seldom dull!) where I remain today. And I'm currently
working on a project to create a cultural arts center in the city, based
on an Irish pub theme and going under the tentative umbrella name "The
Knotwork Factory" or possibly just plain "Knotworks."
I've confirmed at least 3/16ths Scots-Irish ancestry, with nearly
three-quarters of the lesser portion always assumed to be German.
However, a new family theory (not proven, but not disproven, either!)
lays much of that bloodline in a tempestuous Saxon past.
Anyway, I figure every time I've lost blood it's been German, and the
Celtic blood has been forced to replicate to make up the difference....
Although not terribly Celtic via genes, I am a roaring Celt by passion. My
library is dominated by books on Arthur, Irish legends, Celtic folklore,
British history, etc., and my house is decorated with a variety of
knotwork motifs and other such Celtic stuff. Oh, and lots of swords!
... Tom ... [log in to unmask] ... Lancaster, PA ...
... I am the laughter in the woods. ...
