I don't think the English are evil, and yet I don't believe in imperialism,
which is how England got Ireland in the first place. Truly, the issue is as
complicated as imperialism, power issues, and what arises from this and
oppressed people's response to it is. I agree, one should read lots on the
issue before one gives their opinion. And I don't believe any people of any
country are evil. But I do believe power can be used wrongly, and I do
believe England's leadership and political bodies have enjoyed controlling
many different countries over years. Ireland wanting its freedom is not
unsual. Look at India, Africa, the U.S., etc. And the tactics that the IRA
have used are also not unusal. Look at South Africa, El Salvador, etc.
You see, there's alot to learn from each other, and why not on the Celtic
list? Many of us are widely read on a variety of subjects as well as the
situation in the North.
