Without consulting the tain (ie my memory may be defective) Wasn't
the point to remain facing the foe ( a common thread amongst
warrior cultures) and it worked for a time, no one would approach
him until the raven alighted on him to prove he was dead. ( a case
of the Deceased Hero Deterrent)
