It's time once more to get ready for St. Patrick's day, and I'm again
producing the Celtic Jubilee here in Albuquerque, New Mexico. It's March 9,
Saturday, 11am-11pm, at Sandia Preparatory School (great dance floor in the
old gym!). If you don't find the information you need below, call me at
(505)237-9522 for more details, advanced tickets, booth space rentals, and
I have many wonderful local bands lined up (all Celtic), folks are
reading/reciting Celtic poets, there will be food booths, crafts and other
booths, storytelling, bagpipe bands, and Irish, Scottish and Welsh dance
instruction. This year we also have a guest artist from Seattle, Joel
Bernstein, (who is not famous, but who ever said you have to be famous to be
great?), who plays a fantastic chromatic harmonica, also the melodic
clawhammer banjo, fiddle and concertina. But not all at the same time...
This year we also have a BUNCH of great workshops, including, but not limited
to: concertina, harmonic, hammered dulcimer, penny whistle, spoons, bodhran,
harp, and Irish history/archaeology. There will be a measly $1 charge for
each workshop (so that the artists can get just a leetle extra money for
working so hard).
We'll have a dance from 8-11 with music from the Megaband, which will be
anyone and everyone who wants to chime in. Jamming throughout the day
Advanced tickets: $5 Adults, $2 Kids 6-12.
At the door: $7 Adults, $3 Kids 6-12.
